A multidisciplinary artist at the intersection of street art and calligraphy, Woo (Wooghost) is based in Bordeaux, France, where he regularly exhibits his work.
With the brutality of graffiti, the delicacy of calligraphy, and influences ranging from the Cyrillic alphabet to hieroglyphics, Wooghost plays with symbols, often without symbolic intent. He expresses himself on canvas, tarpaulin, and even glass, adapting to both large and small formats according to his desires. Woo advocates for instinctive art. However, some of his recent paintings touch on contemporary societal themes, which the wandering eye can identify through their symbolism.
